In the late 40's or early 50's, Sonny and Leonard Whetung built Sunset Pavilion, used for a variety of purposes including regular dances during the Summer months. In the mid 1960's, favourite Peterborough entertainers Geoff Hewitson and the Fugitives were booked regularly on Saturday nights for Rock Dances, with the King Bees doing the honours on Fridays.
