South of Seven writes:

Vocalist Doug and brother, bassist Mark McMullen grew up on the hills over looking Omemee Ontario honing their skills in a make shift jam spot above the garage of their parents home. In 1993 they formed Canada’s number 1 AC/DC tribute band that is still rocking today and was privileged to play for AC/DC members during a Canadian record release party. In 2006 they decided to build a recording studio and fulfill a long time dream to write and record originals. The Brothers looked to fellow Kawartha Lakes area guitarist, Dave Joyce to complete the trio. After years of touring everything from the Top 40 scene to the Punk circuit, Dave left the road to concentrate as a Human rights Specialist for the Canadian Auto Workers Union but jumped at the chance to write with the talented and seasoned McMullens. The group quickly realized a special chemistry and while Doug and Mark built a state of the art recording facility, Dave went back to school to learn the business side of the Music Industry. Fast-forward to late 2008 when the group releases its first single “In the Devil’s Eyes” and quickly earned the praise from Industry Pro’s and fans alike. Brian Ellis, Operations Manager for The Wolf 101.5FM saw the songs potential and had it put into the stations rotation. Alan Cross, Program director and host of the Nationally syndicated “Ongoing history of new music” for Toronto’s “The Edge 102.1FM” is quoted as saying “At first listen, it sounds like a straight-ahead rocker with a nice big hook in the chorus. The Foo Fighters come to mind.” Bret Carrigan, Former drummer of Honeymoon Suite guest stars on the single and Darren Smith, ex of Harem Scarem makes a drumming appearance on their second single “What I Need”. The group is happiest at work in the studio and try not to let the NHL’s nightly featured games distract them for too long as they near completion of their debut C.D.
