Royce Williamson is a native of Texas and received his bachelor and
masters degrees while studying trumpet at North Texas State
University, a prominent school for jazz studies in North America.
His professional career has included teaching music at both
secondary and college levels, and leading several ensembles. He has
played with the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra and is the founder
and director of the Kawartha Jazz
Ensemble.
