Rags, Mountain Reels, and Banjo Blues; raw, natural sounds recalling
a potent time in North American history when the lines between
genres were still blurred, and string bands gathered their
repertoire from the cultures found on mountain sides and in port
cities.

Lotus Wight's alter-ego, composer Sam
Allison, has played and toured with Canadian artists Jenny Whitely,
Hawksley Workman, Martin Tieli, Serena Ryder, The Silver Hearts, and
John Southworth. He and Fiddlin' Jay have been performing
workshops across the USA and Canada since 1999.
