June Whiteman has delighted audiences for over 50 years, beginning in
Montreal in the 1940s with singing in nightclubs and on radio. It
wasn't until she moved to Peterborough in 1963 that she got into
acting. She has since appeared in more than 18 plays, including five
musicals, mostly for Peterborough Theatre Guild. In 1999 and 2000
she began doing professional work in Toronto - three movies and a
commercial that was voted best commercial of the year.
