THE DIPLOMATS are a local Peterborough band found deep in the heart
of Hunter St., not to be confused with foreign dignitaries nor
national ambassadors.
THE DIPLOMATS are Patrick Walsh, Ian
Osborn and Jill Staveley, an unlikely yet perfect trio for this band
and this music. The Diplomats are a hard edge blues trio who perform
original and cover material in and around Peterborough. Having
previously released live recordings with a couple of different
line-ups, 'RUE OF THE DAY'is the bands first studio style product.
Though the Diplomats definitely thrive during a live performance,
the studio method of 'RUE OF THE DAY' does not inhibit a realistic
representation of the sounds one would inevitably hear at a
Diplomats show. In the past little while The Diplomats have decided
to part ways after six years to carry on different independent
projects. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!
