Formed in 2002, and based out of Peterborough, Ontario, This band is full of musical energy. The band came together as the result of numerous side projects, primarily Mondo Topless, a two piece band with Jamie and Nick, with such fabulous songs like "Tired of Taking Hits (For the Greater Good)," and a small project called Gnarkill with Jamie and Tai. Eventually these two forces collided somewhere in the deep woods north of Peterborough. There the band developed the early stylings of "Mentally Challenged Rock" and also wrote the first official Derelicts tune: "Kool-Aid Man." The band continued to experiment and develop in the privacy of the Haunted Proceshyn Basement. Eventually, the band released their musical spirits to the outside world....Playing live shows at various venues around Peterborough, the band has grown a strong reputation. When playing live, the Derelicts are known for their off the cuff antics and powerful energy on stage. The group members are outgoing while performing and enjoy interacting with their audiences.
